Nick San Filippo has spent over 30 years as trusted counsel to founders and business owners navigating the two moments that define a company’s future: succession and sale. In that role, he serves as both business and legal counselor to entrepreneur owners, helping them grow, de-risk, and ultimately monetize their businesses. This is a perspective he draws not only from decades as an attorney, but from his experience as an investor, a board member, and an active participant in both a Vistage CEO peer group and Tiger 21, where he has spent thousands of hours alongside fellow entrepreneurs facing the same decisions. Named 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” for Mergers & Acquisitions Law in New Jersey by Best Lawyers in America® (one of the most selective distinctions in the legal profession), Nick often guides owners through their first, and often only, sale of a business. As Co-Chair of Lowenstein’s Business Divorce Group, he also resolves the shareholder and partner disputes that can derail a succession plan or a deal before it closes. Nick, together with his partner Nick Samedi, serves as outside counsel to Sax Advisory Group, guiding the firm through its recent strategic growth initiative, including a minority investment and six subsequent acquisitions.
