About
Stacey is a Partner at SAX specializing in business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support, with a particular focus on the cannabis industry. She brings nearly three decades of experience providing independent valuations and expert analysis for both litigated and non-litigated matters.
Stacey advises clients on the valuation of privately held businesses for purposes including succession planning, gift and estate tax compliance, buy/sell agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. She also provides valuation and litigation support services related to economic damages, lost profits, owner disputes, matrimonial matters, wrongful termination, personal injury claims, and criminal matters. Since 2014, she has worked extensively with cannabis operators, investors, and advisors, offering valuation, consulting, and dispute-related services in this highly regulated and evolving industry.
In her role, Stacey is actively involved in developing new business and managing client relationships, ensuring that clients receive thoughtful, objective, and technically sound guidance. She has been qualified as an expert witness in numerous matters and is recognized for her ability to translate complex financial issues into clear, defensible conclusions.
Stacey is a frequent speaker at national, regional, and local events on topics including business valuation, litigation support, and the cannabis industry. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters and is the co-author of The Cannabis Industry Accounting and Appraisal Guide, the first comprehensive publication focused on cannabis valuation.
