About
Mike Lanni brings more than four decades of public accounting experience and a strong record of advising privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and growth-stage companies through complex financial, tax, and strategic decisions through complex financial, tax, and strategic decisions. Before joining SAX, he was a partner for five years at RD Hunter & Company, spent sixteen years as founding partner of Lanni Restifo LLC and eleven years as a partner with Scheidel Sullivan & Lanni, CPAs.
Throughout his career, Mike has focused on helping business owners address operational, financial, and tax-related issues at each stage of growth, with client work spanning financial reporting, strategic planning, tax compliance, and proactive tax planning.
Mike earned his degree at Pace University, where he was active in the Accounting Society and a four-year baseball letterman, serving as team co-captain during his senior year. He is a member of the AICPA and NJCPA, and has contributed to several New Jersey Society of CPA committees, including Cooperation with the IRS, Members in Industry, Small Business Consulting, and Sports & Entertainment. Mike is also a past member and two-term President of The Rotary Club of Ridgewood, where he served for many years as an officer and director.
