OUR FOUNDERS’ HISTORY

Stability, strength, and continued growth and success have been the pillars of SAX’s standard of client service since 1956.

SAX Founders – Sander Sax, Morris Macy, and Egon Fromm – inspired the vision of advancing clients forward by advising them in the key areas critical to their success. This is the cornerstone of how SAX does business today.

SAX is a champion of nonprofits and The Founders’ Award is a vehicle in which we can honor the values of our Founders by empowering and supporting those organizations in ways that ensure their continued existence and positive impact on our world.

The theme of the 2026 Founders’ Award is: Evolution

Definition: The gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.

The criteria for this year’s Founders’ Award include:

• One (1) high-res file of your organization’s logo
• Non-professional video, no longer than 5 minutes in length, answering the following questions:
  • Describe a time your organization changed course — whether in strategy, model, or focus — to better serve your community. What drove that decision, and where is further evolution needed?
  • What pivotal change has most amplified your organization’s impact, and what drove that change?
  • How is your organization proactively shaping the future of its field or cause?

Please begin each video stating your organizations mission.

Submission for the 2026 Founders’ Award will be due no later than 11:59 p.m. on June 18, 2026. No late entries will be considered.

Nonprofits nationwide are welcome to apply. However, if selected as part of the Top 75, attendance at our awards ceremony in Northern NJ on September 23, 2026, is required, as the winner must be present to receive the award. This representative must be a C-Suite or Board Member of the organization.
